Description:This position serves as the NCAA Division III Head Women's Tennis Coach, responsible for leading and managing all aspects of the women's tennis program in a part-time capacity.
Responsibilities: - Develop, communicate, and implement practice and game plans for the tennis program during both traditional and non-traditional seasons.
- Recruit prospective student-athletes independently of the admissions office while also leveraging admission-driven leads.
- Establish supportive, mentoring relationships with student-athletes to promote personal, academic, and athletic growth while contributing to student retention efforts.
- Supervise and manage assistant tennis coach(es).
- Collaborate with the Athletics Department on scheduling contests, practices, clinics, and camps.
- Complete the annual NCAA compliance certification and maintain active membership in the designated professional coaching association.
- Accurately reconcile program expenses and credit card reports in accordance with the Cedar Crest Coaches' and Operations Manual.
- Adhere to all NCAA, conference, and institutional rules and policies, including responsibilities such as nominating student-athletes for awards, participating in conference calls, and attending required meetings.
- Assist in the planning and execution of fundraising initiatives to support the tennis program.
- Support and actively contribute to the mission, values, and initiatives of the Department of Athletics.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics.
Qualifications:Education & Training: - Bachelor's degree required; prior collegiate coaching experience is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is strongly preferred.
- Current certification in CPR, First Aid, and AED is required.

- Proficiency in using computers, standard office software, and printers to produce necessary materials.

- Ability to drive institutional vans for team travel and recruiting purposes.
- Capability to navigate stairs and attend meetings held in various on- and off-campus locations.
- Sufficient visual and auditory acuity to perform all job-related duties.
Position Complexity: The successful candidate must effectively balance a variety of responsibilities, including administrative duties, practice planning, game preparation, and recruiting efforts. The ability to work independently while advancing department priorities is essential.
