Broad FunctionSUNY Adirondack is a teaching- and learning-centered community college, which fosters a diverse and equitable learning environment for students of all ages, backgrounds, goals, and learning styles. A member of the State University of New York, located in the foothills of the Adirondack Mountains, one hour north of Albany and thirty minutes from Saratoga Springs. Our size is intimate, with only 4,000 full and part-time students, yet we offer more than 30 unique academic programs that prepare students for both work and transfer to four-year schools. A four-year degree is attainable on campus through our SUNY Plattsburgh extension center. While many of our students are first generation college educated and from rural areas in Upstate New York, we are excited by the influx of students from downstate and out of state who can now live in our new 400-bed residence hall.

Major ResponsibilitiesThe Head Coach is responsible for all aspects of the sport, to include but not limited to:
- Successfully implementing a recruiting/retention plan
- Executing practice and training plan
- Supporting student-athlete success, academically and athletically
- Scheduling athletic contests and arranging transportation, in conjunction with Athletic Director
- Maintaining the program in accordance with department, College, and NJCAA rules and regulations
- Help organize team travel, including driving college vehicles to away contests.
Required Skills- Prior coaching, recruiting and playing experience preferred
- Must possess a valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Must have organizational, management and teamwork skills
- Must have administrative and computer Skills
- Must have interpersonal communication skills
- Must have a willingness and desire to work with people of diverse backgrounds
Educational RequirementsAssociates or Bachelor's Degree Preferred
CompensationThe salary for this position is $10,000
Working Conditions and Physical RequirementsOffice, Campus environment. Occasionally lifting 10 - 25 lbs.
