Set the vision for all video content to be produced for Liberty Athletics social media platforms and to be used internally. Create production schedules, shoot, edit, and lead storyboarding for creative projects relating to video. Work closely with other internal staff and Liberty Athletics personnel to develop video content that promotes LU programs and furthers recruiting efforts.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Collaborate with the Creative Design Manager to lead/develop the overall visual direction for the Liberty Athletics brand
- Lead shooter at all Liberty Football games, both home and away
- Lead editor for the Creative Team, and final approver of any video content created for public or internal use
- Develop visual plan for major events (National Signing Day, Bowl Games, etc.)
- Develop and train student workers
- Come up with and execute projects from concept to completion
- Shoot video content using DSLR style cameras
- Edit video projects to include sound sweetening and color correcting
- Work nights and weekends; travel as assigned
- Other duties as assigned
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Manage the Creative Videographer and Storyteller for Athletics and all student worker videographers
QUALIFICATIONS AND CREDENTIALS- Minimum 5 years of experience in professional/academic production field
- Extensive working knowledge social media platforms and strategy
- Working familiarity with both academic and professional media environments
- Proficient in the Adobe Creative Cloud platform (Premiere Pro, Photoshop, etc.)
- Has strong understanding of production and is able to take a project from concept to completion
- Excellent oral, written, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Ability to lead team in often stress filled environments
- Ability to work independently and as a team member
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work with conflicting, delayed, ambiguous, or last-minute information
- Ability to clearly define issues and quickly generate solutions
- Ability to interact with and manage students
- Self-motivated.
Education and ExperienceFour-year college degree, with a concentration in Communications, 5+ years in a related field. Leadership traits required. Well-developed communications skills. To obtain LU-approved driver certification, individuals must be 21 years of age or older, possess a valid driver's license with a minimum of five (5) years of documented driving history, and maintain a clean driving record.
