JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS
This position will report to the Director of Football Nutrition and support the Performance Nutrition Department by assisting with all aspects of student-athlete fueling. This Performance Nutrition position will supervise undergraduate student assistants and act as a liaison between the nutrition department and other Intercollegiate Athletics (ICA) staff who manage athlete fueling.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- fuel station operations
- daily production and projects
- inventory, stocking, ordering, purchasing and distribution
- body composition testing
- education and projects
- meal ordering, receiving and execution
- team meals and training table
- mentorship of departmental interns and student assistants
Preferred qualifications include:
- nutrition, food service, or sport management background
- management, supervisory or customer service experience
- ability and willingness to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- experience in athletics
Skills include:
- strong interpersonal, time and priority management
- communication and organization skills
- ability to handle a fast-paced, intensive work environment
- excellent communication skills
- ability to work as a team
- ability to prioritize and multi-task
- ability to perform body composition testing
- ability to operate a vehicle
- ability to lift greater than 20 pounds with or without accommodations and perform other physical labor tasks (pushing, pulling, stocking, loading etc.)
- identify, troubleshoot, and resolve problems alone and in group settings
- ability to work independently and collaboratively and proficiency in computing
BACKGROUND CHECKS/CLEARANCES
This position requires the following clearances in addition to applicable background checks: PA State Police Criminal Background Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form, and Federal (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal Background Check. This position requires that you operate a motor vehicle as a part of your job duties. A valid driver's license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required in addition to standard background checks.
