Job Details Job SummaryThe Football Player Development Coordinator supports the off-field development and well-being of football student-athletes. This role focuses on academic support, counseling, and academic skill-building for student-athletes. This position includes: designing and implementing strategic instructional plans for those who are under-prepared for college; identifying the student athlete's skill set; completing needs assessments; providing direct counseling; monitoring progress towards degree and assisting in eligibility certification; delivering instructional activities.
Core Responsibilities- Develops and implements a successful plan for high school football student-athletes transitioning to UTSA.
- Develops and implements a successful plan for UTSA football student-athletes transitioning to the workforce.
- Serves as a liaison between football student-athletes and the Life Skills Coordinator related to off-field development.
- Assists in developing partnerships between UTSA Football student-athletes and the community and assist in the development of community service initiatives.
- Provides resources and developmental opportunities for student-athletes to enhance their financial skills.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications- High School Diploma
- One (1) year of related work experience.
- This position requires the ability to maintain the security and integrity of UT San Antonio and its infrastructure.

Working Conditions- Office environment. Ability to travel to and from meetings, training sessions, or other business-related events. Occasional after-hours and weekend work or overtime may be required.
Physical Demands- Sedentary work; sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required, only occasionally. Exerts up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally.
This position will work primarily
on campus. Travel and parking expenses are the employee's responsibility.
This position is contingent upon a successful background check. Verification of a valid driver's license and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) may be completed as applicable. Applicants selected must be able to show proof of eligibility to work in the United States by time of hire.
