I. Basic Responsibilities- To supervise all activities of swimmers by enforcing rules and regulations
- To warn swimmers of improper activities or hazards
- To rescue persons in distress or in danger when indicated, and provide proper care (rescue breathing, CPR, First Aid, and AED)
- To make notifications of any accidents, rescues, or problems that have arisen
II. Essential Duties- To report any equipment that is in need of repair
- To assist in the cleaning and maintaining of the pool and related areas (including chemical checks)
- To correctly open and close pool areas
- To complete paperwork on a daily basis
- To attend scheduled in-service training
- To successfully and positively perform within work team dynamics
- Adherence to expectations concerning working relations, job reliability, safety, training, work tasks, and supervision
- To assist in any other duties as specified by the Director of Aquatics
III. Qualifications:- Lifeguards must be currently certified with American Red Cross Lifeguard Certificate or be able to get certification before start date.
- Must be able to attend in-service training
- Must be able to work weekends
