The Coordinator, Accounting for Global Media supports accounting operations within the Global Media division, ensuring timely and accurate processing of financial transactions in accordance with accounting policies and procedures. This role assists with journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close activities to maintain accurate financial records. The position collaborates with Finance and business partners to ensure consistency, compliance, and efficiency across media-related accounting activities.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the end-to-end accounting cycle for Global Media, including preparation of journal entries and reconciliations for Media Owned and Operated businesses including the Digital content businesses.
- Support monthly close activities, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to established deadlines.
- Provide timely close variance explanations to Finance team.
- Maintain compliance with accounting policies, US GAAP standards, and internal control requirements.
- Collect and validate financial data to support management reporting and analysis.
- Coordinate with Finance and business partners to resolve accounting discrepancies and ensure consistent reporting.
- Assist with audit requests by providing accurate schedules and supporting documentation.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency and accuracy within accounting operations.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
- Minimum of 2-3+ years of relevant experience
Expected Hours of Work:
Employees are required to work a minimum of 40 hours per week in the office. This role may require additional hours as needed (late nights, weekends).
