About the Role & Program

The ABC News Product Management and Engineering teams are responsible for designing, maintaining, building, and acquiring the technology solutions and optimizing workflows that enable ABC News to create and deliver the news every single day. In this internship, you will be working with product managers and engineers helping to assess, plan and test new workflows, software and system deployments, develop training materials, and troubleshoot issues as they come up. Every day there will be a new opportunity to learn something about what it takes to be the #1 News organization in the country!

The approximate dates of this internship are June 2026 through early January 2027.

What You Will Do

As our intern, you will be rolling up your sleeves both metaphorically and literally to get to the bottom of all problems faced. On some days, you will spend time with our editorial, newsgathering, and operations teams to understand their workflows and then meet with engineers to propose and implement timesaving solutions. Then on the next day, you might work with engineers to put together an equipment list for a new studio or production build and ensure delivery will meet our needs.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Familiarity and/or basic understanding of video/television production and television production workflows
Experience with multi-tasking in a constantly evolving and collaborative work environment, effectively balancing and prioritizing multiple projects
Experience with utilizing Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience (academic, extracurricular, or internship/professional) in video or television production
Previous academic or work experience in technology and/or IT processes, troubleshooting and/or problem solving
Familiarity with a wide range of broadcast technologies
Familiarity with system administration, software development lifecycle, technical writing, or media platforms

Education

Major or previous coursework in Broadcast Journalism, Communications, Video Production, Engineering, Information Technology (IT), or a related field
Junior or Senior year preferred

Eligibility Requirements & Internship Information

Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements:

Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application posting OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship
Be at least 18 years of age
Possess unrestricted work authorization
Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or Disney College Program

Additional Information

Able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship
The approximate dates of this internship are June 2026 through early January 2027
Fully available to work 40 hours per week during a Monday through Friday schedule, 9am – 5pm ET
Able to provide own housing for the duration of the internship program in the New York, New York area
Able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work

The pay rate for this role in New York is $22.50 per hour.
