Position Summary:
This position will be responsible for assisting with the promotion and publicity for 18 NCAA Division III sports. This position has a 12-month obligation, and will include working evenings and weekends. Duties include, but are not limited to, the maintenance of statistics and records for all sports, website updating and design, video editing, supervising student workers, and the utilization of StatCrew and other relevant software. The Enrollment and Student Success division supports a student's entire collegiate experience from the point of admission through to graduation. Responsibilities:
The Assistant Director of Athletic Communications will assist the Director of Athletic Communications with coverage of the Cardinals' 18 NCAA Division III athletic teams which compete in the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC). The individual in this position will serve as the primary media contact for a number of teams. In addition to assisting with the day-to-day operations of the athletics communications office, this individual will be responsible for in-depth website management, which includes but is not limited to: feature stories, event recaps, scores, statistics, team rosters, schedules and team histories. Additionally, the candidate will also assist with planning and overseeing special events such as the Hall of Fame ceremony, the spring student-athletes ceremony, etc. Responsibilities in game management will include press box management, assigning and supervising staff to assist with in-game responsibilities (scoreboard, public address, statistics, etc.), in-game updating of social media platforms and score reporting. Some evening and weekend work will be required.
