Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a discipline related to the area of assignment; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
Demonstrated project management skills to assist with day-to-day maintenance of App State athletics' official social media outlets and website.
Proficiency with various social media outlets (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, etc.).
Experience in web design and professional utilization of social media required.
Must be proficient in basic HTML, Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to adhere to strict deadlines.
License/Certification RequiredEssential Job Functions Assist with content management and strategy for @appstatesports and individual sport social media accounts (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, etc.).
Work with individual sports and athletics department units to promote and coordinate consistency in social media messaging.
Assist with policies and procedures for content management and brand cohesiveness.
Design graphics for official social media accounts and website.
Coordinate with marketing, sponsorships, ticketing, sports productions, creative services, Mountaineers Athletic Fund and other units on cohesive and strategic flow of content.
Primary strategic communications contact for specific sports, as assigned.
Assist with content management on App State athletics' official website (appstatesports.com), including articles, photos, videos, bios, schedules and statistics.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Required for this PositionPreferred Qualifications Experience in an athletics setting preferred.
Proficiency in basic audio and video editing preferred.
