The Assistant Athletic Director of Athletic Communications, reporting to the Senior Associate AD for External Operations, will serve to expand the overall awareness of the University, athletics department, student-athletes, and coaches to the faculty/staff on-campus and in the greater community as well as support the public relations value for the university's mission and vision. This position will serve as the primary Communications contact for up to five assigned sports and provide oversight over communications efforts for all department programs.
Job Related Minimum Required Education and Experience: Requires a bachelor's degree in a job related field and 2 or more years of job related experience, which may be substituted by an equivalent combination of job related certification, training, education, and/or experience.
Required Certification, Licensure/Other Credentials: Valid driver's license is required
Preferred Qualifications: Experience as a lead communications representative for two or more programs is preferred.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: A successful background check and a good driving record is required. Knowledge / familiarity with NCAA rules and regulations as they relate to Communications and PR. Proficiency of StatCrew and NCAA Genius stat programs, InDesign, PhotoShop, social media platforms, shooting/editing video, and knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations that pertain to athletic communications.

Create graphics for use on Athletics website and social media, and coordinate with Asst AD for Video Services and Digital Strategy to edit and post-game/event/interview highlight clips for the website and social media. |
