Reports to: Director of Athletics and Club SportsSenior Vice President for Enrollment ManagementCategory: Part-Time/ Non-ExemptSummary/ObjectiveThe Coordinator of Athletic Recruitment will jointly report to the Director of Athletics and Club Sports and the Senior Vice President for Enrollment Management. The position will be primarily responsible for handling outreach for all club sports, as well as some varsity sports. Duties include sending emails, making phone calls, and texting to high school coaches, club teams, climbing gyms, equestrian centers, and community colleges. The position will handle coordination between prospective student-athletes, high school coaches, and Lees-McRae coaches and staff. Sending invitations for campus visits, replies to prospective student-athletes, and assist with getting prospective student-athletes and their coaches to attend Regional Information Sessions, Accepted Student Receptions, School Counselor Breakfasts, Open Houses, Academic Preview Days, Accepted Student Days, and Orientation programs will be required. Assisting with content creation and development of marketing materials for athletics and athletic teams is required.
Essential Functions- Extensive outreach via email, text, and phone calls to high school coaches, club teams, preparatory and boarding schools, community colleges, athletic organizations, equestrian centers, climbing gyms, golf courses and clubs, sport academies, ski lodges, and athletic recruiting services.
- Provide timely return phone calls and emails.
- Extensive outreach to identify and assist with recruitment of prospective student-athletes.
- Assist with outreach to prospective student-athletes to invite them for campus visits.
- Serve as a main point of contact for Lees-McRae coaches to arrange meetings with prospective student-athletes.
- Assist coaches in completing prospective student-athlete applications.
- Provide quality service at all times when communicating with all prospective and current student athletes, current student athletes, families, and coaches.
- Provide weekly updates and reports on progress toward established goals to both the Director of Athletics and Club Sports and the Senior Vice President for Enrollment Management.
- Participate in Zoom meetings and info sessions about club sports.
- Reply to prospective student athlete questionnaires and consistently communicate with coaches.
- Participate in athletic recruiting and fundraising events as needed.
- Identify and recruit student-athletes for developmental sports in men's basketball, women's basketball, softball, men's soccer, and women's soccer.
- Assist the Director of Athletics and Club Sports in adding developmental teams in other sports to drive net tuition revenue.

Position Type/Expected Hours of WorkThis is a part-time position. Days and hours of work will vary. Maximum of 30 hours per week. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
