Job Duties:Under the supervision of the Assistant Director of Student Recreation, the Student Recreation Operations Coordinator provides oversight and support for the general Student Recreation facility operations. This position is primarily responsible for membership, access, policy development/enforcement, program marketing, and student staffing of the Student Recreation department. There is a strong emphasis on student development, training, and availability/support when student staff are present. Evening, weekends, and some holiday work will be required.
The coordinator assists in hiring, supervising and training of student staff to effectively carry out the mission of these program areas and interacts closely with students in providing effective and impactful connection opportunities; so that students might find belonging on campus and subsequently succeed as students at UW Oshkosh.
Key Job Responsibilities:Special Event/Monthly Incentive Programming: (20%) - Assist event and rental group set up and support.
- Assist with Health & Wellness special events and incentive programs.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Event Support (Rec Plex rentals, etc.)
Emergency Response Training and Equipment Repair Coordination: (25%) - Develop and coordinate ongoing training and testing of student staff in emergency response: CPR/First Aid, building and environmental emergencies.
- Coordinate with vendors to order and repair equipment as needed.
Coordinate Albee Pool Open Swim Hours: (10%) - Hire, schedule and supervise Life Guard staff
- Promote open swim program to campus community.
- Assist in pool reservation/scheduling.
Administrative Support: (20%) - Provide primary Admin support for department.
- POs, purchasing, payroll tracking
- Coordinate with service vendors (repair, project, maintenance).
- Credit Card purchases
- Occasional support for Sport Club program.
Membership Services: (25%) - Assist in the recruiting, hiring, training, scheduling, and supervision of student staff.
- Develop and maintain regular communication with student, staff/faculty members.
- Create and market incentives for membership growth to staff/faculty.
Department:Student Health and Wellness- Recreation Center
Compensation:$44,000, commensurate with experience
Required Qualifications:- Bachelor's Degree in Recreational Sports or related field
- Adult First Aid/CPR/AED or able to obtain within first 30 days
- Experience working in Recreation industry
Preferred Qualifications:- 2+ years working in full-time recreation position
- Facility management experience
- Experience with supervision and team management
- Experience with purchasing, hiring and administrative tasks
