Associate Director of Marketing
Location: Central, SC

Reports To: Vice President of Enrollment Management
Position Summary
Provides leadership for enrollment marketing strategy, recruitment communications planning, enrollment marketing analytics, CRM communications, and operational effectiveness in collaboration with the VP of Enrollment Management. This position develops and measures the institution's enrollment marketing efforts, manages budgets and ROI, and serves as the primary strategic liaison between Enrollment Management, Marketing, Academic Programs, and University Leadership.
Primary Responsibilities
Enrollment Marketing Strategy & Planning
- Develop and implement a comprehensive enrollment marketing and communications strategy aligned with enrollment goals and institutional priorities.
- Establish integrated, multi-channel recruitment marketing plans across email, web, social media, CRM, digital advertising, and print channels.
- Translate recruitment objectives into measurable marketing initiatives that increase inquiries, applications, and enrollment conversions.
- Collaborate with Enrollment Management leadership to optimize recruitment funnel performance.
Marketing Analytics & ROI
- Analyze marketing performance metrics, enrollment data, and recruitment outcomes.
- Develop dashboards and reporting systems to measure campaign effectiveness.
- Evaluate inquiry, application, and yield performance by campaign and channel.
- Monitor marketing expenditures and recommend resource allocation strategies to maximize ROI.
- Provide strategic recommendations based on enrollment and marketing analytics.
CRM Communications & Enrollment Operations
- Oversee CRM communication strategy and enrollment communication workflows.
- Develop communication calendars, audience segmentation strategies, and recruitment communication plans.
- Establish operational workflows, documentation, and process improvements.
- Manage project timelines and coordinate cross-functional enrollment marketing initiatives.
- Ensure alignment between recruitment communications and enrollment objectives.
Leadership & Collaboration
- Serve as strategic liaison among Admissions, Marketing, Academic Affairs, and University Leadership.
- Facilitate planning meetings and enrollment communication strategy sessions.
- Manage relationships with external vendors, consultants, and marketing partners in collaboration with the Vice President of Enrollment Management.
- Stay informed on emerging trends in enrollment marketing, analytics, AI, and digital recruitment.
Qualifications
- 5+ years in enrollment marketing, marketing strategy, CRM administration, or enrollment operations.
- Bachelor's degree required, advanced degree preferred.
- Strong expertise in analytics, CRM systems (Slate preferred), Google Analytics, Tag Manager, and campaign measurement.
- Demonstrated success leading strategic enrollment marketing initiatives.
- Strong project management and leadership skills.
Technical Skills
Candidates should demonstrate proficiency in:
- CRM (Slate) and enrollment communication systems
- Google Analytics (GA4), Tag Manager, and digital reporting tools
- Enrollment marketing strategy and digital campaign optimization
- Digital advertising platforms including Google Ads and Meta Ads Manager
- Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or related content tools
- Microsoft Office Suite
- Project management systems such as Monday.com
