Position Overview
The Full Stack Developer will build a custom Apigee Developer Portal as a single-page application (SPA) in AWS to enable developer experience, API discovery, onboarding, and subscription workflows.
We are seeking a hands-on engineer who can design, build, and maintain both front-end (user interface) and back-end components (services, APIs, and data integration) of cloud-native applications. This role emphasizes strong front-end expertise, with experience building SPA applications and integrating with APIs and API platforms.
The developer will deliver high-quality, reusable platform services using modern engineering practices and contributors across the full software development lifecycle, including design, development, integration, testing, and deployment.
Following portal delivery, the role expands to enhancing API platform self-service capabilities, including automation, developer workflows, templates, and onboarding experiences to improve developer productivity and drive platform adoption.Key Responsibilities
• Build and enhance a custom SPA developer portal in AWS using React or Angular; integrate with Apigee platform APIs for content and workflows
• Design, develop, and operate cloud-native applications and platform services on AWS
• Deliver self-service capabilities across the API platform, including developer portal and enablement features
• Design and maintain APIs supporting platform and developer experience use cases
• Implement testing, automation, and CI/CD practices to support reliable, repeatable delivery
• Collaborate with architects and engineers to ensure scalable, resilient solutions
• Extend platform services and tooling to improve developer productivity and platform adoption
Required Skills & Experience
- Proficiency in modern front-end frameworks such as React or Angular, as well as a strong understanding of UX best practices, is highly desirable.
- Strong backend development experience such as in Java or Python.
- Experience designing and building APIs; familiarity with API platforms
- Hands-on experience with AWS (Lambda, ECS, S3, DynamoDB, API Gateway, etc.).
- Strong understanding of CI/CD, version control, and DevOps fundamentals.
- Solid software engineering fundamentals (code quality, testing, maintainability)
Nice to Have
- Experience with API developer experience (developer portals, API documentation, onboarding workflows)
- Experience with API platforms and enablement capabilities
- Exposure to GenAI/agent-based tooling for developer productivity
- Relevant AWS certifications.
- Familiarity with insurance or financial industries.
